Case Studies

Cinematic has been a key player in the home cinema installation industry since 2004. With expertise rooted in many years of experience working for top AV companies, Cinematic specializes in designing and installing high-end home theaters and multi-room audio-visual systems. Their projects focus on delivering premium quality and cutting-edge performance, particularly for discerning clients looking for the best in home entertainment technology.

Over the years, Cinematic has built a strong foundation, becoming a member of CEDIA (Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association) and obtaining certifications from ISF (Imaging Science Foundation) and HAA (Home Acoustics Alliance). This ensures that their installations meet the highest standards of audio and visual excellence, providing their clients with an optimized cinema experience in every project.

The company’s recent project—a high-end home cinema showroom in Warsaw—was completed in collaboration with LuxArte, a luxury interior design firm. The partnership aimed to showcase the seamless integration of advanced audio-visual technology with luxurious interiors. At the heart of the project lies the Trinnov Altitude16 processor, the centerpiece of the showroom’s immersive audio system.

Please tell us about this project

The idea behind the showroom cinema in Warsaw’s LuxArte flagship store was to create a space that not only demonstrates the capabilities of high-end home cinema technology but also merges it with an elegant and luxurious interior design. Located within the historic The Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera building, the showroom was designed to inspire clients by showcasing the potential of integrating modern audio-visual systems into sophisticated living environments.

The cinema room was carefully designed to meet the demands of both form and function. LuxArte contributed their expertise in interior design, while Cinematic took charge of all technical aspects of the installation. Together, they transformed a dedicated 6.5m x 5.5m space into a fully functional home cinema that could appeal to luxury-focused clients.

The ultimate goal was to provide clients with an immersive cinema experience while maintaining the elegance of the room’s design. The collaboration demonstrated how modern technology—like Trinnov’s advanced processing—could fit harmoniously within luxurious surroundings.

What equipment did you choose for this space and why?

The cinema installation focused on delivering a high-performance, immersive experience while maintaining flexibility to demonstrate different audio configurations.

Here’s how the system was structured:

- Trinnov Altitude16 Processor: The heart of the system, the Trinnov Altitude16, was selected for its exceptional audio processing capabilities, especially in immersive sound formats like Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and Auro-3D. Its WaveForming technology was critical in optimizing the bass performance, enabling accurate low-frequency reproduction throughout the room. Trinnov's system allows for several audio presets, giving Cinematic the flexibility to demonstrate multiple audio configurations within the same space.

- Procella Audio: A key audio component of the installation, Procella speakers provided the sound foundation for the cinema. The front stage featured Procella P815** speakers, while the surround sound and immersive audio effects were supported by Procella P6V and P5ICW speakers. Subwoofers were strategically positioned using Trinnov’s guidelines, with six P18Si subwoofers (four in front and two in the rear) to deliver deep, powerful bass. The system was designed to take full advantage of Trinnov’s processing capabilities, ensuring top-tier performance.

- Screen and Projector: A Sony VPL-XW8100ES projector was chosen for its superior image quality, and it was paired with a Screen Research FDM Flat Fixed Frame Screen. The projector was concealed using a DT Motorized Mirror System, which maintains the room’s aesthetics by hiding the projector within the ceiling when not in use. This approach ensures that the technology remains unobtrusive, allowing the focus to stay on the luxurious atmosphere of the room.

What acoustic challenges did you face while designing this project?

Given the project’s location in a historic building, there were multiple constraints that needed to be considered, such as restrictions on making structural changes. Cinematic worked closely with both Trinnov and LuxArte to ensure that the installation met all requirements without compromising on performance or design.

The integration of Trinnov’s WaveForming technology presented another challenge. The technology required precise subwoofer placement and calibration to achieve the optimal bass response, but the architectural limitations of the space required creative solutions. By collaborating directly with Trinnov’s engineers, Cinematic was able to adjust the layout and ensure the system delivered the best possible audio performance despite the limitations.

Which features of Trinnov Optimizer stand out for you?

A unique feature of the Trinnov Altitude16 processor in this project is its ability to support multiple audio configurations within the same room. Since the cinema space also functions as a showroom for Cinematic, the goal was to demonstrate various audio setups, ranging from full 22-speaker immersive systems to simpler configurations tailored for different client needs.

This flexibility is made possible by Trinnov’s powerful processing capabilities and its ability to create multiple presets, each using a different speaker arrangement. This allows Cinematic to showcase systems with varying levels of complexity and performance, from high-end setups to more accessible solutions, all within a single installation.

What is your favorite part of the project?

Choosing a single favorite aspect of this project is challenging because the success of the installation comes from the seamless integration of all elements. However, the most rewarding part of the project is the immersive sound experience delivered by the Trinnov Altitude16 processor. Once visitors are seated and the system begins, the audio envelops the audience, making them feel fully immersed in the on-screen action. This transition— from the visual beauty of the space to the total sensory immersion in the cinema — creates a powerful emotional response in visitors.

Both the technical excellence of Trinnov’s processing and the luxurious atmosphere of the room combine to deliver an experience that’s greater than the sum of its parts, making it a standout project for everyone involved.

Conclusion: Technology and Luxury in Perfect Harmony

The showroom cinema in Warsaw’s LuxArte store represents the perfect fusion of cutting-edge technology and sophisticated design. The Trinnov Altitude16 processor, combined with Procella’s audio components, delivers a world-class cinema experience, all while blending seamlessly with LuxArte’s luxurious interiors.

The project not only showcases the high-performance capabilities of Trinnov’s technology but also demonstrates how modern audio-visual solutions can integrate into even the most elegant spaces. This case study is a testament to how advanced cinema systems, when combined with expert design and installation, can provide clients with an immersive, luxurious, and unforgettable home cinema experience.
