Visitors to the Melbourne International Hi-Fi show in October will have the opportunity to hear a 24.10.10 Dolby Atmos system over a 250-inch screen. Yes, you did read that right !
The 34-channel setup promises to push immersive audio to its limit. And will be the world premiere of the maximum speaker layout offered by Dolby Atmos and only available through Trinnov processing with the use of the 48Extension we introduced at this year CEDIA Expo in San-Diego.
The demonstration is being staged by our partner Australian speaker outfit Krix, a specialist in both high-end residential and commercial home cinema speaker systems, in collaboration with Barco.
The extraordinary experience will be held in a purpose-built space within the Pullman Mercure Hotel in Albert Park. The 32-seat Krix Ballroom Cinema will feature seven tri-amped dual 15-inch loudspeakers behind the screen, with twenty-seven surround and overhead speakers. Taking bass to another level are ten subwoofers, including four dual 18-inch monsters. The video will be provided by a Barco Wodan 4K projector over a 250-Inch screen!
